Century 21 Leading is an Alberta Real Estate Company. Barry Twynam offers Real Estate services with a focus on assisting home buyers locate and purchase their first or next Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County or Edmonton area home, condominium or acreage, and helping sellers with their real estate and property selling opportunities.


Since 1997 I have enjoyed a career as a full-time REALTOR® in the Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County and Edmonton area.  My hard work on behalf of my clients placed me in the top 5% for sales in the Edmonton region for 2012, earning me an award in the Medallion Sales Achievement Program of the Edmonton Real Estate Board.  I continue to place in the top 10% for sales in our region.  I am proud to serve my loyal clients whether they are buying first homes, investing in real estate for revenue purposes, or selling treasured homes or acreages.

Before entering the real-estate industry, I experienced a broad range of practical life situations. I grew up in Montreal along with five brothers and sisters.  Later, over a 20-year period, I served in the Canadian Armed Forces in numerous locations including Germany, Cyprus, Alert, and most of the Canadian provinces. Through my travels and work in many different places, I learned the importance of working with people to build trust, a quality that serves me well every day in the business world.

I retired from the military in 1996 as a Structural Technician and began transferring my job skills to the renovation of real property for personal and investment purposes.  Those occupations contribute to my skills and success in real estate. 

Coming to real estate with a full rucksack of life skills has meant I tend to view situations and do things a little differently.  For one thing, I don’t consider myself a “salesman” with the negative meanings that the word sometimes carries!  I mean it when I say that my clients’ needs come first with me

I take pride in finding homes for people that are what they need and want, and helping them negotiate a price that represents fair value.  I also enjoy taking the time to educate people in all aspects of real estate, leading to a cumulative learning experience for them over time.

I know that finding the right place to live, or parting with a home that has meant a great deal to you, are among life’s most stressful events, emotionally and financially, and that a successful conclusion takes time.  You can expect me to listen carefully to your concerns and help you through the process every step of the way.  You will never feel rushed to make a decision. Being treated fairly and respectfully is important to me, and I want no less for my clients.

Knowing how valuable your time is, you can expect me to be prepared and punctual for appointments, and prompt in answering your questions or responding to your concerns.  I will keep you informed during our entire association.
